We are very proud of the fact that we have been commended everywhere we go about the decorum of the campers and their neat appearance. It is the biggest factor in being invited back to facilities that otherwise do not allow juniors to play.

Parents agree with the benefits of requiring a standardized clothing and personal appearance. They see the importance of the logoed: collared shirts, tee shirts for tennis, wind shirt and hat. The shorts can be any non-logoed blue golf shorts and optional khaki golf shorts they wish.

Campers can wear any clothes they wish, when at camp if they are not engaged in golf or tennis activities (practice or competition), or if they are not off campus on a trip.

Benefits of a uniform at camp:

1. Safety - for identification when out of camp for others to identify him and where he belongs and for him to find us easily should he get lost or need quick assistance.

2. Ease of clothing selection for parents - Many parents thank us for making the choice simple and non competitive.

3. Lack of competition with peers. We want kids to be known for the content of their character not the "coolness" of their clothes.

4. Team and camp membership - Feeling like being on a team and belonging is a powerful ingredient for helping campers adapt to a strange environment and to strangers with whom they will learn, play and live.

5. The proper dress improves behavior, dedication to learning and cooperation. Wearing a uniform or proper dress puts campers in the focused frame of mind and focus. It encourages a degree of respect that otherwise would not be there.

6. Golf and Tennis facilities require proper dress. The proper dress code is not only required by us but by all golf courses and camps that we have matches with.

7. Don't have to make a decision about each days clothes selection of each camper.

8. It insures that we are not in position to have to judge clothing on a daily basis, should a camper, well meaning though he or she might be, choose an article of clothing not accecptable. It avoids the embarrassment to the camper who might have to change out of a garment that could be loss of face in front of his or her peers.

The uniform portion that is with logo, mentioned above, must be purchased from our official clothing provider; an additional suggested and optional equipment list is provided for your convenience. We will send you a catalog or you can go on line to see the choices. Recommended items to be purchased can be found on the back of the enrollment form or in the catalog. Suggested types and quantities of clothing should be followed. Campers are required to wear the golf or tennis uniform whenever participating in the sport and whenever they leave camp.

Six golf or tennis shirts are required to participate in either program as well as navy blue shorts and the appropriate foot wear. Boys and girls may not wear earings, have body piercings, wear tongue rings, or have any markings on the skin. Girls may wear, during social events, small, inexpensive and tasteful earings, no more than two per ear. The general accepted hair styles for both boys and girls must be groomed in a way that represent the golf or tennis spirit of etiquette and dress code. Campers must wear Navy Blue shorts or long pants as part of the uniform. Khaki will be permitted on hot days
