Although Kennebec Camps started
in 1907 as a premier outdoor adventure camp, this year
marks their second as a camp specializing in a comprehensive
golf program. The Maine Golf Academy, for boys and
girls 9-17, offers 4 tournament quality greens, 6 tees
to make a 9-hole golf course, a 300-yard driving range,
5 target greens, 3 practice bunkers and individualized
training stations. The Director of Golf is Brian Roddy,
who taught over 6,000 students last year as the Director
of Golf at the Disney Institute in Orlando, Florida.
Brian has designed an outstanding golf instruction
concept for the Junior Golf Camp, along with individual
video swing analysis, sports psychology, and more.
Each camper receives 36
hours of instruction and will play 150 holes of golf
on six beautiful golf courses around the mountains, lakes
and coast of Maine. In addition, campers can enjoy the
Adventure Program, complete with whitewater rafting,
ropes course, waterskiing, swimming, tennis, mountain
climbing, and much more.
One week, two week
and four week sessions are available and run from June
27 through September 3. For more information on the
