Hi Joel and Crista,

Wow! You have added a hockey program to your already fabulous golf and tennis program. Very exciting! Grant "Sweet Lou" Mills is a senior this year and captain of the Varsity Golf team. His also played hockey throughout high school on the Varsity Hockey team. Grant will be attending Michigan State University in the fall. During the college selection process, he seriously considered playing golf at the collegiate level. As you know, sports are very competitive, especially at the Division I level. Grant really wants the whole college experience and the decision to play at a smaller school versus being part of a Big 10 experience was a difficult decision for him. Last summer he spent a few weeks as a hockey camp counselor at Miami University in Ohio in between the summer golf tour he participates in. He loved the experience and was able to draw upon his fond memories of the wonderful counselors at MGA. This summer he will be working (kicking and screaming) for his father to learn about the family business. We promised him that work opportunities hereafter will be his choice. The Mills family wishes you the greatest success with your new hockey program and all your endeavors.

Leigh Ann Mills mother of Grant a 3 year camper.

HELLO JOEL,

THE GOLF SEASON FOR MARIANA IS OVER FOR THIS YEAR. IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR.  IN THE GIRA INFANTIL FROM VALLE DE MEXICO SHE GOT A 1) FIRST PLACE; 2) THIRD PLACE; 3) FIFTH PLACE; 4) THIRD PLACE;  5) FIFTH PLACE. SHE ALMOST GOT A PLACE FOR THE INTERZONAS (WHERE EACH OF THE 5 ZONES OF OUR COUNTRY SEND THEIR TEAM OF 4 GIRLS AND THEY COMPETE FOR A PLACE IN THE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS). SHE LOWERED HER SCORES TO 80S, AND TWICE SHE EVEN GOT LOWER THAN THAT IN A TOURNAMENT.

SHE WAS INVITED BY THE ASOCIACION VALLE MEXICO AND PAID HER FEE IN THE WOMEN NATIONAL AMATEUR  OF MEXICO.  SHE WAS ON TV ON ESPN, AND SHE ALSO GOT A PLACE IN THE PRE RANKING LIST OF MEXICO.

IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR AND WE KNOW PART OF IT WAS THE RESULT OF THE PRACTICE AND CONFIDENCE SHE ACHIEVED LAST SUMMER IN YOUR GOLF CAMP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

NEXT YEAR SHE WILL LIKE TO BE WITH YOU ALSO FOR THREE  WEEKS. WE ARE GOING TO EUROPE ON JULY SO SHE COULD BE THERE FROM JULY 23RD TO AUGUST 13TH .  CAN YOU CONFIRM HER PLACE AND SEND THE INFORMATION FOR A WIRE PAYMENT.

THE SON OF A CLOSE FRIEND OF US PLAYS TENIS, HE IS 13 AND HE WILL LIKE TO GO TO THE CAMP. HE WILL STAY FOR 2 WEEKS AND WILL BE THERE FROM JULY 23RD TO AUGUST 6TH. DO YOU STILL HAVE A PLACE FOR HIM?

THANK YOU JOEL AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.

MIGUEL AND MARIA ELENA GARCIA (Parents of a third year girl and boy campers)

Dear Mommy and Daddy,
Camp is so great! Today, I did so many things like climb on the rock wall, Swim in the lake, jump on the water trampoline, played golf and did the slip and slide. The favorite think that I did today was hitting balls at the driving range becasue they put a canoe for us to aim and hit at . Tonight is carnival night . I can't wait. to play some games and win some prizes . Today I won a hat with my nambe embroidered on the back. I have don so many cool things at camp that iwould take a year to write all of them . I love you and I miss you.

Love, Max Wilber(1st year camper) - Now 3rd year camper

We want to send all of you a huge thank you! Your proimpt responses to our phone calls and the plethora of advice and information you have shared with us have truly made choosing a first-time over nitght camp for our sons much easier. Your programs sound wonderful, both educational and fun. What a great combination - top notch golf and tennis instruction paired with good old fashion summer camp activities. We spoke with the rreferences that Joel provided for us. Both the previous campers and their parents agreed that the Maine Golf and Trennis Academy is a spcial place.

Both Boys are sxtremely excited. Maybe next year we canleave the kids at hoime and Jack and I can go to camp!

Thanks again for yoiur help. We look foward to meeting all of you in person.

Dear Maine Golf and Tennis Academy and Joel,

Grant and his father have done it again. This time after camp, they won the Father/Son at The Oakland Hills Golf Club, the country club hosting the Ryder Cup and where we were honored here with Tiger Woods. I have enclosed a picture taken of all of us ( the whole family) at the luncheon.
Thank you so much for all you have done.

Sincerely,

Dear Joel,

I just wanted thank you for a wonderful Family Camp experience. We had a great time on so many levels. Not only did both my tennis and golf mprove vastly, but my son and I had a great experinece. Everyone was wonderful that was there, the staff was considerate, great at teaching and nurturing the kids and fun and the space was warm and relaxing. We hope to return next year, althought he rest of the family wants to tag along.

Thanks so much again

Joel,

The camp proved to be more than we expected. Andrew had a wonderful time and is talking about returning next year. He ven said he would start saving his own money, to pay for it. When we picked him up we noticed the difference right away. He was taller, thinner and hard to put into words but more relaxed, calmer, older.

Thank you agan for everything

Elizabeth Topol parrent of 2nd year camper.

Dear Joel and especially Kelley,

Just a short note to thank you very much for all the support you have given to my children (Cristina and Manual) at the Maine Golf and Tennis Academy. They told us that everybody has been extremely nice to them but you have been really like their "mother and father" while at camp. Manuel told me that you always kept their e-mails apart and that you were always ready to listen to them...

As you know , it was their frist time at a camp in the US ( they have been at camp in the past, but only for two weeks and in Spain) and as you have probably seen, they are vbery close to their family, so , at the beginning they were tired, jet-lagged. they were new and it was a bit hard for them for the first day or two, however,... You have been a great help for them!

The have had a great time at MGTA!! and I am sure they will be back next year...
Thank you ver very much again

Best regards,

Patricia Estany mother of two 3rd year campers

PS. Manuel would like to send you a present. Are you still there for a few more weeks?

Dear Joel and Crista,

Your camp was everything we hoped for and more! Logan was a camper at your camp from 8/1 to 8/14 and I had to write to thank you for the experience he had.  When he talks about his 2 weeks, he BEAMS!!!!  We're hoping that we can send him again for the next few years.

Sincerely,

Jody Grabowski (Logan's grandmother)

And many , many more letters just like these, every year.

Dear Joel and Christa,
First of all--Happy Holidays and best wishes and health for the New Year!
Jared spent the rest of his time from golf camp caddying and playing golf in PGA jr. golf tour matches. He made the Varsity Golf Team in his first year of high school and is now on the high school swim team. In the spring he is looking forward to his first experience going out for "crew".
He is soooo excited about this summer at the Main Golf and tennis camp because he will be a CIT and it looks like he recruited his friend Issac Luber to try the camp for his first time. Jared will be going to Scottsdale,Arizona with us and his new friend Mike Amole that he roomed with at the Maccabiah Games in Vancouver. Thanks to the Maine Golf and Tennis Academy he came in 3rd.!! He has grown and improved immeasurably. As you can see ,Jared is living a full life but really cannot wait till summer and his 7th year at Maine Golf Camp....Lynne Wexler

Our daughter is interested in returning to camp in 2007 (begging actually!). Do returning campers have to fill out the full application again?

Thanks
