At the Maine Golf and Tennis Academy, where Sports Illiustrated KIDS picked us BEST Summer Junior Golf Camps and BEST Summer Tennis Camps, we emphasize safety, fun, self esteem building excellence and personal attention at our golf and tennis camps for kids and teens.
Sports Psychology KIDS, is a our own Hallmark Progam and after many years of developing the ideal program for kids sports training (read Life Training) is the most important division of the Maine Golf and Tennis Academy.
We teach campers how to Set Goals and build a plan to acheive them, how to be Cool and Calm in pressure, and we employ a powerful system of Cross Training using Level, 1, Level II and Level III.
Our Professional PGA Class A instructors, USTA/USTPR Professional Tennis Instructors, Division 1 College Coaches, College Players and staff are carefully picked for their love of teaching junior golf, junior tennis and their outstanding instructing abilities and their inspirational approach.
It is not a "one-method-for everyone" approach. Our junior golf school for kids and teens and tennis camp for kids and teensstaff utilizes time-proven techniques that encourage individual improvement while still having fun by applying solid fundamentals customized to your child's unique aptitude, interests, goals, maturity and physical capabilities.
Each Camper arrives with his or her MGTA Goal Setting Worksheet, filled out,
and together we guide them to an action plan to make it happen.
1. Campers make their own Camper Instruction Videos
2. Campers can become Certified MGTA Junior Instructors
Level I, II, or III in Golf and Tennis
3. Campers can choose the Tournament Travel Program for either
Advanced or Elite Golf Camp or Advanced or Elite Tennis Program
4. Advanced and Elite Players requires Nomination by a coach,
teacher or Pro; if you need help we can assist you to find a nominator
5. Campers can sing along with and Join the World by remotley accompanying musicians from around the globe on the YouTube Stand by Me - redux Lavenson Family.

| Intermediate GOLF Camps | GOLF: This program is designed for the junior golfer that has been playing for a few years and has already learned the basics of the game. The instruction is centered around the players set up and begins to incorporate techniques with the swings. White and blue levels. |

| Youth Advanced Junior GOLF School (10-12) Nomination Required |
GOLF: This program is for the Maine Golf and Tennis Academy for 10 - 12 year old boys and girls. The boys and girls golf program is designed for the player that has a USGA handicap index of 24.0 or less. Black level. Nomination from coach or Pro required. |

| Junior GOLF Camp (13- 17) Elite - Advanced Junior Golf School Nomination Required |
GOLF: Elite Tournament Travel Program. (Extra Fee $300 per week) This four-week program for teenagers, for the Elite Junior Golf Summer Camper (voted BEST Junior Golf School and Junior Golf Camps in America, by Sports Illustrated KIDS) is limited in space and is for 13 - 17 year old boys and girls with a USGA handicap index of 16.0 or less. It is for teenage players interested in competing at the high school and college level and gaining an edge. Gold level. Nomination from coach or Pro required. |

CIT - LIT ( ages 15 - 17): Note: We have a unique Boarding School and College Campus Visitation Program for interested Seniors and CIT's. We will visit 3 colleges and 2 Boarding schools within the full session and let campers experience a taste of what it would college life would be be like or a boarding school life, meet professors and other students and learn more about American schools regarding sports, academics and social life. Extra fee of $500. (Please indicate on the enrollment form that you are interested in the program, no later than April 1st.) |
