Uniforms and Clothing

The uniform is: the camp logo shirt (collared for golf), jacket and hat, plus either navy blue or khaki bottoms (or white for tennis). Proper foot wear is required.

1. There is a Required Uniform (purchased from MGTA only) These uniform clothes will be waiting for you child at camp upon arrival, if you order them before 5/1. Campers are required to wear the uniform whenever participating in the sport and whenever they leave camp.

2. For NON-UNIFORM items there is an additional and supplementary online clothing catalog is provided for your convenience. The Cloz Company in Chicago is our clothing supplier for all other items than the required logoed camp shirts, jacket and hat. 

3. The minimal REQUIRED camp uniform consists of:MGTA logo shirts, MGTA windbreaker and a MGTA hat.

4. Other REQUIRED and SUGGESTED clothes, items and equipment can be found on the packing list. 

We will send you a catalog or you can shop online. Recommended items to be purchased can be found on the back of the enrollment form or in the catalog.


DRESS CODE: Boys and girls may not wear jewelry, earrings, have body piercing's, wear tongue rings, or have any markings on the skin. Girls may wear small, inexpensive and tasteful earrings, no more than two per ear. The general accepted hair styles for both boys and girls must be groomed in a way that represent the golf or tennis spirit of etiquette and dress code. Campers must wear Navy Blue shorts or long pants as part of the uniform. Khaki will be permitted on hot days.

Wholesome clothes choices and decorum only: When not wearing the MGTA uniform, which is permitted during non golf or tennis activities or while not on an off campus trip, outing or sports play.

At all times, proper clothes that represent the wholesome atmosphere preserved by our camp for the last 100 years is required. No clothing with words, symbols, or pictures on them that say, symbolize, suggest or encourage illegal, immoral, unethical, foul language, suggestive behavior or any message that is unbecoming of a young gentlemen or lady, is strictly forbidden and will be confiscated immediately and sent home.

The Clothing Catalog: The Cloz Company in Chicago is our clothing supplier for all other items than the required logo ed camp shirts, jacket and hat. They make it easy ordering on line or by phone at 1-800-876-2267 or outside the US call 773-247-8879 (With any problems use extension 116 and ask for Linda who will solve any concerns you have) Uniform purchase and delivery when ordering after May 1st. (If you wish to not use the Cloz Company Catalog).

Please DO NOT send expensive, valuable, or sentimental items to camp. This is an electronic free campus, so please do not sent any items that could be lost, broken, misused, borrowed, stolen or otherwise returned in an unsatifactory condition. MGTA does not take responsibility for personal belongings or items that are damaged, lost, stolen, broken or misused.

We suggest that you consult your insurance agent to make sure that your child’s equipment and personal belongings are covered while in transit or at camp. The camp is not responsible for such loss or damage by fire, theft, laundry, etc.
